Hemorrhoids are identified as swollen veins in the anal or rectal area. They are sometimes referenced as varicose veins of the anus. It he veins is swollen inside the anal canal then they are called internal hemorrhoids. If the veins are swollen near the opening of the anus then they are called external hemorrhoids.
What causes hemorrhoids to come about?
Hemorrhoids occur when there is a lot of pressure in the rectal area. The added pressure can be from pregnancy, especially during the remaining six months. Many women also find that even if they did not have hemorrhoids during their pregnancy, that hemorrhoid occurs after delivery due to straining to get the baby out.
